Ms. Ramani envisioned a brilliant future for the Bharatanatyam art form in the United States. An exceptional writer of thematic presentations, she has combined elements of Hindu mythology and literature, with everyday experiences of the contemporary world. In addition to traditional dance, she has the proven ability to collaborate with artists of other ancient and modern cultures and practices, such as China and Cambodia, to produce innovative yet balanced and unified full-length dramatic productions in the United States and abroad. Ms. Ramani is also the recipient of several awards.

As a classical harpist, Susan performed with the Detroit Symphony, the English Royal Ballet, and under the batons of Sexton Ehling, Paul Paray, Robert Shaw, and other great conductors. In an effort to set a new standard for excellence and artistry as a harpist in the contemporary instrumental jazz and pop music genres, she ventured into technological realm of amplification.
